Modding a keyboard
There are already lots of pages concerning mods of keyboards like http://www.virtual-hideout.net/guides/keyboard_led/print.htm or http://www.xtrememods.com/articles.php?id=7 but as I spent quite some time to do my own I want to tell you about it here.
The idea was to have a black case with silver keys and blue indicator LEDs in the end. So I went to a electronic store and bought the cheapest keyboard that I could find. Then I took it apart and simply sprayed the parts as desired.
For the indicators I ordered some blue LEDs at Farnell and placed them instead of the previous ones. To do this you need some experience with a soldering iron and desoldering wire.
